Good first box value

I was looking for a cocktail subscription that wouldn't break the bank and saw a deal for a discount on my first Shaker & Spoon box. I got the 'A Rum Welcome' box and it felt like a lot for what I paid. All the syrups and garnishes were there, just needed to grab the rum. Pretty good value for trying it out.

Decent experience, good product

I ordered the 'Ginuary' box. The ordering process on the website was straightforward enough, no real issues there. Shipping took about a week to arrive, which was within the estimated timeframe. Everything inside the box was well-packaged; no broken bottles or squashed garnishes. The quality of the syrups and bitters seemed good, definitely not cheap stuff. The recipe cards were clear and easy to follow. I made all three cocktails, and they tasted pretty professional. I didn't need to contact support, so I can't speak to that. Overall, a solid product if you like making drinks at home.

Loved my first box!

I just got my first Shaker & Spoon box, the 'Tequila! Tequila!' one, and I am so happy with it! The recipes were fantastic and really easy to follow. Everything came perfectly packaged, and the ingredients smelled amazing. I made all the drinks the first night, they were delicious. I'm definitely going to keep my subscription going. This is going to be so much fun to try new cocktails every month. I've already told my friends about it!

Reliable monthly treat

This was my fifth box from Shaker & Spoon, the 'Vodka Vodka' one, and they continue to be consistent. My first order was about a year ago, and every box has been well-curated. The packaging is always secure, and the ingredients are fresh. I appreciate that I always know what to expect. It's a nice little monthly treat that hasn't disappointed me yet.

hey, was thinking of getting one of these boxes. do they send you the booze too, or just the other stuff?

M Melissa Miller 1 month ago
Nah, no alcohol included. You get all the mixers, syrups, garnishes, and recipes though. It's actually kinda nice cause then you can pick your own brands of liquor.

Just the non-alcoholic bits. You gotta buy your own spirits separately. They do suggest what to use though, which is helpful.

I heard good things about these compared to Cocktail Courier. anyone have experience with both and can say which is better?

K Kyle Rodriguez 3 weeks ago
I've tried both! S&S feels more about teaching you techniques and giving you unique ingredients you wouldn't find easily. Cocktail Courier is good too, but sometimes felt a bit more 'assembly line' if that makes sense. Depends what you're looking for.

S&S is way better for getting really interesting, craft-style ingredients. Cocktail Courier is fine for simpler stuff, but S&S really ups your home bar game.

do the syrups and stuff in the box last a while? don't want them to go bad before I can use them all.

Z Zach A. 4 weeks ago
They usually have a pretty good shelf life, especially the syrups. I've had some last a couple of months in the fridge after opening. Unopened they last even longer.

Most of the syrups are good for a few months, especially if you refrigerate them after opening. I usually use everything up before it's an issue though!

Thinking of sending a box to my brother in Seattle. Will it actually ship there? Some places have weird shipping restrictions.

E Eric Campbell 1 month ago
I've sent boxes to friends in different states without issues, so Seattle should be fine. They ship pretty widely.

Yeah, they ship to most places in the US. I got mine in California, so Washington should be good.

When do these boxes usually ship out each month? Trying to time it right if I sign up.

J Jessica Turner 5 days ago
I think they usually ship around the middle of the month, like the second or third week. My tracking usually updates around then.

My box typically arrives in the latter half of the month. I'd say mid-month is a safe bet for when they start sending them out.
